The Harry Edwards Foundation has evolved over nearly eight decades, from the pioneering work of its founder to a thriving healing centre that remains true to its purpose: to provide healing, comfort, and support to all who seek it. It is a legacy built not only on one man’s missions, but on the continued dedicated of healers, staff, volunteers, and friends of the Foundation.
The Foundation was established as a registered charity in 1966 to continue the legacy of its founder, Harry Edwards.
Harry established Burrows Lea Country House as the new home for his work in spiritual Healing in 1946, and it continues to operate from here. The Foundation’s approach to spiritual healing is still deeply inspired by Harry Edwards and is grounded in a collective commitment to healing and wellbeing in all its therapeutic forms, with compassion and love.
Based just outside the delightful village of Shere, Burrows Lea Country House is set in several acres of beautiful gardens and woodland, and dedicated to healing for all. Our healing sanctuary and gardens are open to the public as a place for rebalancing, grounding and enjoyment, 7 days a week.

What We Do
We offer spiritual healing through trained, accredited volunteer healers, both in person and remotely. People come to us seeking support with physical, emotional, and mental challenges, or simply a quiet space to reconnect and reflect.
Healing is carried out in a peaceful, respectful environment by experience volunteer healers. Our approach is holistic and non-denominational, welcoming people from all walks of life. In addition to healing, we train others to become spiritual healers, and we host educational workshops, quiet days, and events that support personal and spiritual development.
All our healing services are offered on a donation basis, and the work of the Foundation is made possible through donations and the generosity of our supporters.
