Grounds & Gardens

Modern life can be frenetic, and it’s often difficult to prioritise self-care and relaxation, but it is always worth it. Spending time in green spaces is linked to mental health benefits and we hope that you find that Burrows Lea offers just such a space for reflection, stillness and healing.

Activity timetables and maps are available in our Visitors Centre so you can find your way around.

Burrows Lea Country House

Burrows Lea is a country house, designed by Frederick Pepys in 1873. Offering unparalleled views of Surrey, with beautiful grounds and outstanding scenery.

The traditional house provides a peaceful setting for healing work and activities. Harry Edwards collected many items during his lifetime and much of this history is on display around the house.

The house has 6 ensuite bedrooms for overnight stays. We offer a variety of retreats including.

  • Better Health | 1 day retreat
  • Relax and Restore | 2 day retreat
  • Rest and Rejuvenate | 3 day retreat
